Nålepude i strik – vejledning /Knitted Pinchusion – an instruction

I am working on a new book about Pincusions. The plan is to find a collection of pincushions in different fabrics and expressions. If you have a special pincusion and would like to join my book, please contact me. Also if you live outside Denmark. I consider writing the book in Danish and English. My mail will appear hereunder.

This pincushion is quit simple.

  1. Cast on 8-10 stitches. The thickness of the yarn matters and how wide you wish your pincushion to be.
  2. Row 1 and all other rows; Slip the first stich through the back loop. Knit all the remaining stitches. Knit until you have a long slip.
  3. Roll your work in the making, so you keep track of how much you need knitting. The roll has to fit in the glas and stay there tight.
  4. When you have knitted long enough, you close up and cast off the thread in both ends. Roll or fold your knitting into a kind of flower and put into your glass. If you prefer, you can glue it to the glass. Voila. You are done.

As promised, my email: gittebobak@yahoo.dk

(I really hope my first attempt in writing a knitting-pattern in English is understandable. Have mercy, please.)
